Ingredients
1 loaf crusty sourdough cubed to 2”
8 eggs, beaten
2 cup milk
½ cup heavy Cream
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
Sprinkle on top:
½ cup all purpose flour
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
a pinch of salt
1 stick of butter
REPARATION:
- Butter a 9×13” baking dish and fill it with cubed bread.
- Mix milk, heavy cream, eggs, vanilla, brandy, and sugar.
- Pour mixture over bread. Let soaked bread rest in fridge overnight.
- mix Cinnamon sprinkle by mixing the butter and the dry ingredients with a fork/dough mixer, and place in a container in the fridge.
- in the following day
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Before baking sprinkle the cinnamon mixture.
- Bake for 55 minutes, or until edges of bread have browned.
